Introduction
This letter was written during the same period of time that 1 Timothy was written. After traveling a bit, Paul settled in Corinth once again. From that familiar base of operation Paul wrote this letter to Titus, whom Paul sent to the island of Crete to lead the church there. The Cretans were a tough bunch and were giving Titus a run for his money. Paul writes this letter to encourage Titus to be a strong and courageous church leader, to not be intimidated by the old guys, and to teach the people about holy living.
