Commentary

Jesus is with his mother and his disciples at a wedding party in Cana. The host runs out of wine on day three of seven. Bad news. Jesus’ mother urges him to turn the water into wine. He does, and now there are 180 gallons of the best wine you’ve ever tasted. Thanks, Mom!

This is Jesus’ first sign. It is a miracle of abundance. Where does Jesus abide? He abides with his mother and friends at a wedding party! I’d follow that guy.
