Acts Part 2: The Day of Pentecost
In this video we walk through Acts 2 and the events that happened on the Day of Pentecost. We learn that Pentecost is a Jewish Feast Day that happens on the fiftieth day after Passover (Pentecost means fiftieth in the Greek language). This feast is also known as the Feast of Weeks, since it is seven weeks and a day after Passover. Many Jews associated Passover with the giving of the Law at Mt. Sinai in the book of Exodus.
When the Jewish disciples of Jesus showed up for Pentecost in the year that Jesus was crucified and resurrected, the Holy Spirit was poured out on them and their lives were changed. Enjoy this visual and verbal commentary.
