Revised Common Lectionary | Luke 17:11-19 | Ten Lepers
Jesus is traveling again and is in a region between Galilee and Samaria. He heals ten lepers, but only one of them, a Samaritan, returns to thank him. This story is sandwiched between two sections in which Jesus harshly criticizes the faithfulness of the religious leaders.

Narrative Lectionary | Exodus 19-20 | The Ten Commandments
After God led the people through the Red Sea, they took a strange turn. Instead of heading north to the promised land, God led them south into the Wilderness to Mount Sinai. Here they experience God in a big way. Get context for Exodus here.
